All I could do was stare as the water shot out of the nozzle of the bottle straight up into the air as we flew over the Atlantic. As the water pooled on the underside of the luggage cabinet above our heads, it began dripping down on the man wearing a business suit behind us. I am sad to say this wasn’t the first time, nor the last time that I was incriminated in an incident because I held the guilty pressurized water bottle in my hand. This was definitely a user error, however, a little part of me would like to blame the bottle as I stared back at the soggy gentleman in the row behind us.
We have taken these Camelbak bottles around the world over the past years and have tried multiple styles and models. Here is what we thought of some of their bottle line.

Pros: What’s good about the Chute mag?
The best thing about this bottle is the magnetic cap. It keeps the top from hitting you in the face, and it keeps you from losing it. This is a win-win idea!
The nozzle on the Chute is the perfect size for drinking. It isn’t a huge opening where you have to worry about sloshing it all over your face, but it also isn’t difficult to get the fluids out.
Dishwasher safe, and that my friend, keeps us a little bit safer.
After using it for nearly a year, I have found the handle to be great. Big enough to hold on to. Great for clipping to something else. Sturdy.
The general construction of the whole bottle is durable as well. No issues after having taken it on multiple international trips and family adventures. Since both the lid and the top are able to be tightened down for no leaking, it does relieve the mind when your toddler is attempting to do his best to cause havoc.
Cons: What’s not so good about the Chute mag?
For me, the .75L size is just a bit too big. I would definitely recommend getting the .6L size if you want to fit it into the side pockets of backpacks or purses.
It is nice that there is no straw or bite valve, but that does mean you have to screw the top on all the time. That is petty, I know, but if you are doing time on the treadmill or bike, get one of their Peak bottles.
Conclusion
Great bottle. Sturdy Construction. The magnetic cap is gold. Good job, Camelbak!

Pros: What’s good about the Eddy Kids bottle?
Great to have for the kids. We have not found any better water bottles out there. I can’t remember when we purchased our first Eddy bottle for our daughter, but she has been carrying it around since she could first walk. Now that we have three, we have more Eddy bottles in our home.
We get them because we can clean them easily. They are easy to hold on to for the kids. We can clip them to their backpacks. They are durable (see below).
Cons: What’s not so good about the Chute mag?
We want the older model back. The bottle plastic was so much more durable. Some of our bottles we have had for years. Whereas when we purchased a newer Eddy model this spring, it broke in the first month. We took it back and got a replacement, and that has held up better.
On the newer models we have found that the bite valve is not nearly as durable, but cracks easily.
Also, make sure you unscrew the cap after takeoff. Please, for the sake of the slightly damp gentleman behind you, unscrew the cap!
Conclusion
The Eddy bottles are our go-to bottles for the kids. We aren’t going to change that. However, we loved the earlier versions better. Please go back, Camelbak!
